In wonderful, but shocking, news for Badr Hari fans, K1 has announced that Badr Hari will replace Ben Edwards in the K1 World Grand Prix. Despite still having not gone to trial yet, Badr Hari would be an injection of vitality and excitement in a stale tournament.
I wonder how Hari will look, if prison will have taken out of him what it took out of Muhammad Ali and Mike Tyson. Still, to be able to see a talent like Badr Hari in the ring again is joyous news for anyone who loves kickboxing!
Wonderful news for Badr Hari fans! I know, from running this website, how many of his fans wish for him a successful and happy life. After a year of nothing but turmoil and bad news, finally a light at the end of the tunnel seems to be appearing in early 2013!
After being released from prison Badr Hari has gone back to doing what he does best: being a top-level kickboxer. And how cool is it that he’s training with another great kickboxer in Gokhan Saki? Liverkick.com reports that the two are training together and Badr has lost a dramatic amount of weight like previously reported. If Badr Hari is able to get a light sentence, his career may not be over like I had previously thought!

I apologize for not posting this video earlier. Badr is released from prison and is met by his girlfriend Estelle Gullit.
The roller coaster of Badr Hari’s life has continued. Thank-you to the commentator who notified me of this recent update. Badr Hari will be released today. He will now await the trial for his charges, and once again can’t go to any catering places between the times of 8pm and 8am. Let’s hope he follows his curfew this time.
Estelle Gullit has remained somewhat of a mysterious figure since her relationship with Badr Hari began. I have been told that she is a media star in her native country of the Netherlands.
The Daily Mail has an insightful article about Estelle’s relationship with her famous, soon-to-be, ex-husband:
‘There is one thing Ruud needs to know. Badr has not stolen me from Ruud… Ruud gave me away.’
‘Ruud is angry and confused,’ she revealed. ‘He can’t believe what is happening. He was really angry when I told him I was leaving him.
Of course Ruud had affairs. He always did during our marriage. And of course I knew about them. And of course he would deny them all the time. My trust in him decreased over the years. In the end I didn’t trust him one bit.
‘That was the moment I started to ask myself, what is this whole marriage actually based on?
‘I put on a brave smile for a long time when I was with friends. It was a smile to hide my disappointment and hurt. As a woman you feel so much more than a man. I just knew his things weren’t incidents, but pure lust. The first time I confronted him with one of his affairs, we weren’t even married.’

Badr Hari is now a 28 year old man since December 8th, 2012. Happy birthday Badr.
Liverkick.com reports that Badr Hari has been denied parole and is severely depressed, besides losing 23 kg. Badr Hari’s lawyers were trying to get him out for the holidays, but were unsuccessful in their attempts.
As a fan, it’s hard for me to accept that this once great talent is forever silenced, but more-and-more this seems to be in the case. Hopefully 2013 will shed more light on what Badr Hari’s future holds.
