Badr Hari will be in police custody for 90 days, which is reserved only for people who have a lot of evidence against them. This means that there is no way he will be able to compete in K1′s next event in October.
K1 has invested a lot in Badr Hari, and it seems at this point it has all come to nil. Badr Hari has been in this kind of trouble before, but has always seemed to escape serious jail-time. This time, however, the victim is an internet millionaire, and cannot be payed off like perhaps previous victims have been before.
Someone commented that Badr seems to be in a similar position that his hero, Mike Tyson, was in, when he was sent to jail for the rape of Desiree Washington. Once released, Mike Tyson, was never the same fighter that he was before. It remains to be seen what impact this event will have on Badr’s career. Whatever it is, Badr’s future career prospects look bleaker than ever. It will probably be a long time before we ever see Badr Hari in the ring again. What a waste of talent.

Unfortunately what I predicted became reality. There is an orchestrated attack against Badr Hari going on. The State’s attorney accuses Badr Hari of four more cases of violence, which brings the total number to six:

For those who don’t understand Dutch, these are the six cases:
- business man and millionaire Everink during dance-event Sensation
- the owner of Club Air in Amsterdam
- a second victim in Club Air
- in night club Jimmy Woo (may 2012)
- the (pregnant) woman last year
- a victim in the Cooldown club
5 of the 6 cases was during going out in clubs in quite a short time. I am even afraid that there could be more cases. Victims who until now didn’t dare to challenge him in court, might now get the courage to jump on the band wagon.
If he is so easily provocated outside the ring, I can’t understand why he didn’t try some therapy?! Or was he so naif that he thought he could always get away with it.
As Badr Hari was restricted until now, he could not talk to the media. These restrictions are lifted now. I am wondering if he will give an interview soon.
I agree with you about therapy, but someone who believes saying sorry is a sign of weakness probably won’t be willing to try therapy.
