Thanks to my astute readers, I don’t even have to do much research to find out what’s been going on with the bad boy lately. Unfortunately, it seems like recently, all the news have been disappointing – from abandoning his ex-girlfriend and newly born daughter, to cavorting with a married woman, and now (worst of all) being named the primary suspect in a recent assault case.
Things have gone from bad to worse, Badr is in custody and has been arrested. His girlfriend, Estelle Gullit, may even be called to testify. He has been named as the primary suspect, and is being sued by the co-owner of the club.
Trouble like this, seems to follow Badr Hari like the plague. Hopefully, his troubles outside the ring, won’t permanently damage his career inside the ring. Although this looks very likely.

Slowly but surely it’s the end of Badr era. He will do some jail time, there is no doubt about that. Even if they drop all charges and release him, in the court of public opinion – he’s guilty.

It is hard to admit being a Badr Hari fan but he is not a Bad Boy. Abandoning his own blood or worse convincing himself that the child is not his daughter without even finding out through DNA testing etc that the baby is truly his or not. I have high hopes for Badr. But to severe blood ties in Islam is among the act of a person who reflects an attitude to be NOT ADMIRED. The child is own flesh and blood. I am just shock to know that the Badr Hari I thought of (Bad Boy yet a loving son, a loving brother, a friendly guy with a bad temper), could go to such extent without feeling shame or even remorse. I am out of the Badr Hari fan arena. He should have not abandoned his daughter and worse, beat a person whom he knew is not as skilled as he is. At his level, with his skill set, an insulting word to him should have just make him laugh at the person and say to himself, WOW, of all the people you could pick on, you pick me…Then just leave. But to easily get carried away by his temper and cripple a man due to a reason that is obviously not life threatening to him or that unfaithful-bitch-of-a-wife-present girlfriend of his…Wow, he is just a thug.. A billboard of arrogance and egocentricity.I hope he revels in that now he is a full, high profile thug…Being the only Muslim in K1 to have been done what others could not have done, all his fame and glory can’t help but pull our identity as Muslims down to dirt once more…YOU ARE AN ASSHOLE BADR HARI..SHAME ON YOU…I’m throwing all my fight collections of you out…You are not to be admired…You just lost some of your fans from the Muslim minority of the Southern Philippines…It is just so disappointing admin…How could he not realize to do a little more of good? i’m bewildered also by this. it just seems that badr might actually be the bad guy that all his fans thought he wasn’t. it says a lot when even his most loyal fans start turning away from him. i can’t see how he can have a successful career anymore. there have always been rumors about his connections to the Dutch underworld, even that he was an enforcer for them. as much as i didn’t believe it, these issues he has, make me think there might be some truth to it…
he obviously has some triggers, like when he fought remy and hesdy gerges. he wasn’t acting, and when these triggers go off he can’t control himself. so it might be best for him to not fight and work out these issues he has.

There were too many witnesses and too much evidence. If he would have continued lying, he would be sentenced more seriously and his boxing career would be over for sure. He said he only has beaten the victim once and other people were also involved. That is not a strong argument. I doubt if I would even survive one punch of Badr.

It is unforgiveable that Badr is so easy to provocate and abuses his power outside the ring. I agree with him that you can’t train this in sport school, but he definitively should go in therapy or in anger management. I guess that will be part of his punishment anyway. More sad news. Badr Hari participation to K1 Tokyo Final 16 is in danger! This event is scheduled for the 14th of october. As Badr pleaded guilty, it is very unlikely he will be out of prison in time, not only for the fight, but also to train for the fight:
